The Temple: A Fusion of History and Mixology.
A venue with 150 years of heritage etched above the bar and décor sourced from flea markets across the globe.
The creators of The Temple were driven by their vision and turned to the studio to bring their dream to life.
There was no specific technical brief; instead, the task was framed through the emotions and sensations each guest—referred to as a parishioner in this space—should experience upon entering.
The bar is the heart of the space, accentuated by architectural elements and a striking 150-year-old tree root brought from Petropavlovsk, the founders' hometown.
More than a design centerpiece, it symbolizes the importance of honoring the past to better understand oneself and shape the future.
Wood takes decades to age naturally, but instead of waiting, we found a way to accelerate time—through a process of burning and brushing.
The designers mechanically aged the wood, preserving its essence while giving it the patina of history. Over time, the bar counter will only become richer—absorbing scents, drying, cracking, evolving. It won’t just exist; it will live. Even now, its texture and aroma tell a story.
This philosophy extends to the candlesticks, where wax is intentionally left untouched, enhancing their raw, expressive presence.
After the warm, flickering glow of candlelight in the main hall, stepping into the bathroom feels like a sudden rupture of reality.
Here, an intense red neon glow floods the space, creating an atmosphere that is both alien and hypnotic. The contrast between the soft, ritualistic firelight and the harsh, electric luminosity heightens the sensation of transition—as if leaving the mystical twilight of a ceremony and entering a sterile, surreal dimension where everything feels almost unreal.
